Best Programming Language

Hi,
Which is the best programming Language to learn? I want to be a good programmer and I am learning C. Any suggestion to be a good programmer??

Well the GOF book is IMHO much overrated, and it just shows what difficulties mostly the C++ folks take to get flexibility one get for free e.g in Common Lisp or Smalltalk.

It may well be, but many companies demand that the specification describe the system in these terms. That's why I mentioned it.
Really, welll I hope they have checked

also.

But well having a name for  few of the "patterns "is  not a bad thing really ;-)
