Windows Media Center weird INSTALLING APPLICATIONS screen

I recently installed XP Media Center and right at the end of the installation, I get this weird screen that says "INSTALLING APPLICATIONS" Do Not touch any buttons during this process. May take up to 30 minutes.  The installing applications text flashes with a yellow and red background.  Is this normal ?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Only if the MCE cd your using is OEM.  A lot of times pre-imaged HDD's and CD's will be built using the sysprep utility.  That utility allows further applications/files/drivers to be installed automatically AFTER the main install completes.

That would make sense as this is a Dell and the only format that I did was a full format through the Windows Installer.  Thanks much for the validation and the explanation
