Time Difference Function

Hello I have a time/date value stored in a database from a previous time, an example is "2006-09-09 18:54:45". I want to get the current time and find out how long ago that other time was. For example 1 Day, 2 Hours, 35 Minutes Ago, make sense? The current time will always be greater that the time stored in the database.

I need Days, Hours, Minutes and thats it.
