Automatically refreshed calculations

In this example http://www.lesouef.net/files/prices_rebates.fp7,

when I change "ratio", it does not update the min_price field.  How do I correct this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It is not supposed to, I did it on purpose.
This allows to change the ratio wihtout affecting the existing prices.
To make it dynamic, use the ratio of the categ table instead the ratio of the prices table in the min_price calculation. If you intend to leave it like this, you can remove the ratio field of the prices table.
But think about it, most of the time, if this app is a kind of invoice, it is better to copy the values of prices and rebates in the prices/invoices table to keep them 'as is' for the future. Of course this is more important for prices than for categories, but I wanted anyway to make sure you understand the drawback of a dynamic ratio

In this case, this is used as an inventory list for ebay, and does not require a sperate "price_list"" table.  What I want it to do, is when I adjust the ratio for the minimum price in the "categ" table, it is automatically reflected on the "prices" table, which is my main inventory list.

Of, so I went too far.
Probably easier to simplify. I hope you can do it, I have no filemaker with me to do it now.
Just remove the auto-enter definition of the ref_price in the prices table, and do also the aboce modifition for the categ ratio.
Let me know if you need ufther help, I should het hold of my PC and of the week
