Access Error 3112

I can't figure out why I'm getting the error below:

Error 3112 : Record(s) can't be read; no read permission on 'Awards'.

Once in a while, I also get this error:
Error #: -2147217911

When I change permissions to the table, I still get the above errors.

please help.

Thanks.

Sounds possibly like a corrupt db http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruption/symptoms.htm

try a compact/repair
also worth a decompile

might also want to transfer objects one by one to a new db (forms/reports, split code/controls else it may cause further corruption)

it might also be this if u have it secured http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q236878

how to decompile http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/decompile.htm
I find this sometimes helps

Have u a backup? might be worth checking that

if your application is split between a back-end and a front-end you need to assign the appropriate permissions to the data in the back-end file as the front end only affects the links to the tables and not the tables themselves.

I don't think it's corrupted b/c I can get into all my other tables but the 'Awards' table.
Also, when I log in as Admin, I can change the permissions to the table for a particular group.  But once
I log in as that group, the permissions are not there.  so when I try to click on a button that is supposed to run
a query object, that's when I get the error above.

How do I create a workgroup file?

Thanks.
