asked on

Copy file to ftp server?

Hi,

I would like to know how to automatically copy a file to a web server.  I tried the below code, but of course, it didn't work.

My.Computer.FileSystem.CopyFile( _
    "C:\Documents and Settings\Jack\Desktop\errlist.txt", _
    "ftp://user:password@members.cox.net/errlist.txt", _
    FileIO.UIOption.AllDialogs, _
    FileIO.UICancelOption.DoNothing)

Thanks

Hi,  I appreciate the time you took to help.  I will try your code, and if it works, I will give you the points.  But fortunately for me, I found some simple code that does all I need to do:

    Private Sub Button_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button.Click
        My.Computer.Network.UploadFile( _
"C:\Documents and Settings\Jack\Desktop\1of2.txt", _
"ftp://members.cox.net/1of2.txt", "username", "password")
    End Sub
