Mouse stopping and starting

Hi Everyone,

Here is my problem.  I have Logitech MX1000 mouse witch likes to freeze every couple of minutes.  It will stop moving and responding until I hit the keyboard ( Microsoft Comfort 4000 USB)

I have Win XP fresh install. AMD X2 3800+ on Asus A8n SLI Premium, 2g Corsair Xtreme and also run triple 17" of the 2 PCI-e cards.
My first thought was the mouse but this system is tripple boot with Vista RC1 and Ubuntu 6.061

I found the problem is in Vista but not in Ubuntu, so some sort of driver issue perhaps. Hav checked the logitech site for latest drivers and they are installed.

How is this mouse connectedto the PC, by the usb port or are you using the PS2 adapter. Whichever one you are using switch to the other and try it. Post the result here
