I've been looking at certain software licensing products that hide datetime, day counts, etc in odd places with the registry.<br />

Q. What's the point if programs like regmon reveal all the registry entries?<br />
<br />
I suppose if they are encrypted, it would be difficult to translate the actual values.<br />
<br />
Also, been reading about web services used for licensing validation.<br />
<br />
Only problem is if the web server is down, possibly many potential clients could be discouraged due to problems.<br />

Just looking for professional opinions on the best and practical software licensing ideas.....<br />
