Safely Remove Hardware
Hi experts,
A friend of mine is having an issue with her desktop.
She has a USB modem on Windows XP and her safely remove hardware window keeps popping up and she cant get rid of it. It also keeps disconnecting and she knows this as the standard USB disconnection sound is made.
Her connection speed is also running very slow. I told her to try a different USB port but can anyone think of anything else that could be causing this. It just started happening last night.
Cheers,
Tom

After thought...
If this is a DOCSIS modem, it WILL have a port for a standard network cable.
On the back of the modem you will likely see DOCSIS 1.0 / 1.1 / 2.0 ... depends on the brand of modem and model.
But by the definitation of the DOCSIS standard all the modems have network RJ-45 capability.
