import Outlook Express "Autocomplete" to Outlook?

I updated a woman from usnig outlook express to outlook.

OUtlook no longer has autocomplete entries that OE did.

(1) Can I import autocomplete from OE to Outlook?

(2) Can I get autocomplete to import the entries from CONTACTS? (Note -- I believe this  may do it -- are there other ways?

Greetings, dgrrr !

1. No, OE autocomplete is not contain in a file, so you cannot move it to Outlook.

2. Ingressor solftware is for the NK2 file.  It works on Outlook, but not on OE.

Autocomplete entries come from Contacts and typed in nicknames.  Contacts should come up in autocomplete but nicknames typed in OE will not.  You make Contacts show in Autocomplete, you need to add contacts to Outlook Address Book.

To add any folder containing Contact items to the Outlook Address Book:
   1. Right-click the folder, choose Properties from the pop-up menu, and switch to the Outlook Address Book tab.
   2. Check the box for Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book.
   3. You can enter a new Name of the address book to make it easier to distinguish from other Contacts folders. The name change affects only the address book display, not the actual name of the folder.
   4. Click OK.

Best wishes!

Hi war1 -

Your instructions, about "adding any folder containing contact items to Outlook Address Book" -- is this a one time thing that must be done to the regular Contacts folder, or are you talking about some special case? (NOTE -- I believe all her contacts are in her Contacts folder already)
