Can I remove a Recovery Storage Group?

I was previously using Exchange Server 2003 SP1 when I wanted to restore a mailbox.  I added a recovery storage group, but then changed my mind.  I never actually attached the recovery storage group to the database.  After doing this my 16GB limit was exceeded and mail didn't work.  So I updated to SP2 and everything is working fine.

I would like to either remove the Recovery Storage Group or increase my Mailbox size, because I think I might be nearing the limit again.  When I start to delete the Recovery Storage Group, I get the following message:  Are  you sure you want to delete the mailbox store (mailboxstore name)?  Will this just delete the Recovery Storage Group or will it also delete the First Storage Group?  I definitely don't want to delete the first storage group accidentally.

Thanks for the help.

I thought the Recovery Storage Group contributed to the size of the data store because when I added the Recovery Storage Group and rebooted the server it wouldn't come back up.  It didn't make sense to me because all I did was add the Recovery Storage Group - I didn't actually attach it to a database.  I guess it's possible that the mailbox limit was exceeded the same day that I added the RSG.

I never did restore any mailboxes.  Is there a way that I can verify where the recovery storage file is pointing?
Do you have any databases listed underneath the storage group?  And privs?  The properties would show a database tab, just like hte privs or pubs, and would tell you which file you used.

Is it possible your drive is filled up with log files?
In the Exchange System Manager, if I click on properties on the entry below the Recovery Storage Group, the Exchange Database is pointing to a file called Mailbox Store.edb and the Streaming Database is pointing to Mailbox Store.stm.  When I look at that directory within Windows Explorer, there are no files in it.
By the way, it is NOT in the same directory as my first storage group...
