Windows Installer keeps coming up with no details
It keeps opening when i open emails and software. there are no program details. I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. i tried different virus and spyware finders with no results at first but upon running defender again todqay, it found CmdLineCM. it removed it but i still have the same issue. any ideas?

Click Start, Run and type EVENTVWR.MSC
In the "Application" section, check for entries with "MsiInstaller" string as the source.
Example:

Thank you. i just happened to have an It guy stop by for something and we found it to be Acrobat Pro conflicting with a newly installed printer. I wanted to split the solution credit as you both helped but couldn't find how to do so.

To find out what it is actually trying to install / update then you may be able to browse to any .msi (installation package). It should then thow an error stating that this msi is not a valid installer for xxx (xxx is the appliaction that it is trying to install).
