Windows XP Home Workgroup

I am trying to network 2 pc's together. They are connected to a router and all of a sudden they are unable to see each other. Previously they communicated fine.

Is there something that I've missed that is blocking the pc's from sharing files and printers in their old workgroup?

I've had a similar problem on another network and as I solved the original problem myself I am happy to try and find a solution to this onther system. Basically there are 3 pc's. 2 are running XP Pro and 1 is running XP Home. I can try all the usual stuff to setup a workgroup but the Home pc refuses to allow connections from the othere 2 machines. I can access these machines from the Home pc but not vice versa. This is a pain as the Home machine is the only one connected to a printer.

I have noticed that when I look  under "Tools"  "folder options" "view" there is no option for enabling simple file sharing. Should there at least be an option to do this in XP Home or is it not a part of it and secondly, is this likely to be relevant to the workgroup problem?
