SQL Collation vs Windows Collation
I'm installing sql 2005 and I want to change collation so accents are insensitive.
Question is which is better to choose at installation time:
- Windows Collation or
- SQL Collation (used for compatibility with previous version of SQL Server)
My current production server is sql 2000 running an SQL Collation (SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI _AS). What throws me off is that the SQL Collation seems to say that it's for backwards compatibility and "perhaps" should not be used in future...
Thanks,
Bruno
