Backup sysstate, and windows folders, system32, etc...

Whats everyones take on backing up a domain controller.  The main one with most of the FSMO roles?
Do you just do the sysstate? or do you also grab the OS files like %windir% , system32, etc?

I know some of that is done in the sysstate (or shadow copy components whatever they call it now)

Thanks for any advice / opinions

Hi,
System State data is includes COM+ class registration database, files under windows file protection and system boot files.Depending on your server configuration, other data may be included in the system state data for example if it is Domain Controller, Active Directory and SYSVOL Directory are contained in system state if the server is Certificate server then the system state will contain also the Certificate services database.

Thanks
