Interested in Combining A Few Mini DVD's into One Standard DVD

Hi Everyone:

Now that I have the needed technology to transfer information from a mini DVD to a standard DVD, I do have a followup concern.  Basically, each mini DVD has about 30 minutes worth of recordings of a high school football game and there are about 12 of these mini-DVD's.  Realizing that a standard DVD can store up to 2 hours of recordings (I believe, correct me if I am wrong though), it seems to make more sense to combine these these mini DVD's so I am not using so many standard DVD's.  While this goal is logical, I am uncertain with regards to the mechanics of carrying out the steps necessary to achieving this goal.

Any help regarding this project will be appreciated.

       Thank you

... by the way, you could also put all 12 mini-DVD's on a regular single layer DVD; although this would require a good bit of compression.  DVD Shrink is very good at re-compressing, however, so you might want to try that and see how it looks :-)

Hi Everyone:

When I got ready to copy the each folder housing the actual media file, I noticed each mini DVD has the same named folder.  So, I will need to make some adjustments when copying and pasting the folders onto the HDD.  Can I possibly copy the first folder on mini DVD 1 onto the HDD, rename that folder on the HDD, and then proceed to mini DVD 2, and carry out the same procedure here, and so forth?

        Thanks

Yes ... that's why I said "... copy your mini-DVD's to the hard drive, each to its own folder."   You have to be sure they're all in their own separate folders.   "MiniDVD 1", "MiniDVD 2", ... might be a nice descriptive name :-)

Your help has saved me hundreds of hours of internet surfing.

Hi

Yes, that makes sense.  Will I need to copy the entire folder on mini DVD 1 into the self-created folder of MiniDVD 1?  Or, will I need to open up the contents of the folder on the mini-dvd and copy and paste the individual files into the self-created Mini DVD folder on the HDD?

        Thank you
