If you can't see it in disk admin,try anoter external USB case.<br />
Those things are flakey to say the least.<br />

I have 4 or 5 of those things ,and some work on some USB ports and machines and not others.<br />
Pretty much hit and miss.

Make sure you pulled all the jumpers off the harddrive - most USB HDD controllers don't like any of the Master / Slave / Cable Select jumpers to be shorted.
