ThunderBird wierd error dialog box

i get the following error box sometimes when i try to send email.

"An error occurred sending mail:  The mail server sent an incorrect greeting:  Thread limit exceeded g_thread_max 293/290 consult Netwin before changing."

any ideas?  thanks!

Check if sending automatically adds an email to a thread or conversation.  Thread limit may be exceeded.

i'm gonna check.  it's one of our employees and she has no idea of what circumstances create this error.  if i understand your second post, you are suggesting that continual replies would stack on top of each other and exceed a limit?  that's not the case.  i'm trying to get more circumstances and i'll resubmit some info when i get it.  thanks for the help sofar.
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

the conversation thread idea is not what is going on. it turns out it is only when she attaches a large file. so it must have something to do with large attachments.  thanks for yoru input though!
