Blade technology - for or against?

I am curious what those in the IS community think about Blades.

I would also say that blade servers most of the time, up front cost more >than single server solutions.

I am all for blades - Faster and distributed/clustered  computing.

With HP you can chose to have fibre in it or not, obviously cheaper without. You don't really need Altiris to take snapshots, just use VMWare and Vmotion.
All blades have the option to not have the fibre connections and Alteris make a suite for the Dell servers, and if its based on price then HP wouldnt get a look in
