What's the general approach to building a custom action button in a gridview row<br />
&gt;&gt;&gt;&nbsp; that will return the value of the gridview index, so it can be used to get at other items in the row and do something completely custom with it? &nbsp;<br />
<br />
Like in addition to the hardwired select, edit, delete buttons.<br />
<br />
I assume I start with a template column...I'm just not sure how or if the button &quot;knows&quot; which row it belongs to.<br />

Any help with this would be appreciated.<br />
