I would like to know if it is possible for Windows Server 2003 to keep a log of file deletions and file access by AD users. I know File server management shows you files BEING accessed, but I want to be able to have a log of who deletes files or what files a user HAS accessed.<br />

I recently had someone delete about 10 folders on our file server in a group drive. I was able to get them back, but I thought it would be ideal to have some sort of history about file usage.

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
