Application icons missing in task bar
hi folks!
i got confused with the strange problem. there are no icons appearing in task bar for running applications on my XP, whatever you maximum, minimum or restore the application windows. i have to use alt-tab to switch among the running tasks. :-(
if i boot the system in safe mode or switch to another user, the icons appear.
please HELP! many thanks!

thanks for your feedback, but #3 is for IE's toolbar, not XP's task bar. :(

BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY PRIOR TO DOING ANY TWEAKS!

If you click on the link, it should ask you to save a vbs (visual basic script) file. Save it and then run it to fix your taskbar.
