PC won't start with VOIP phone

I recently purchased the Noblesse Premier Voip phone http://premier.te-group.com/dect_noblesseVOIP.aspx. It works perfectly, until I try to switch the computer off and on. The computer switches off ok, but will not restart until the USB cable to the phone is removed. I have reinstalled the latest Noblesse, Skype and Voipstunt software but this makes no difference.

On attempting to restart, the PC will not get past the first stage of booting. ie. no XP screen. The monitor stays in 'standby' mode and nothing more happens...

Any suggestions?

You could try updating the system fully from microsoft website see if that helps if not sometimes USB doesn't play nice with xp you will just have to live with unplugging and plugging it back in.

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

One of a set of tools we're offering as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community.

Go to the Device Manager, and expand the USB devices at the bottopm, and tell us what it says for USB Controllers. We can help you identify what kind you haev from there....

there are 7 usb controllers, all apparently working properly. The last one is USB VoIP controller, and is also working. Its location is apparently 'USB bridge', whereas the others are different.
Its driver is
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\VolPUSBDriver.sys
Provider: Windows (R) Server 2003 DDK provider
File version: 5.2.3791.9

webcam: usbccgp.sys
5.1.2600.0 (XP Client 010817-1148)

various others but I notice two things:

1. When I disconnect the USB cable to the phone, three of vthe controllers disappear
2. The four that are left are all digitally signed, whereas the VoIP controller wasn't.
