Hello

I have a Windows 2000 SBS DC running Exchange Server 2000 in Michigan and remote computers in Texas that access the server VIA VPN.

The computers in Texas O.S. is ( XP Media Center) and are not part of the domain so they are asked each time for user name and password each time when they are in outlook 2003.

This was working fine with no problems and than one computer would never ask for the user name and password and would stay in the disconnected mode with the exchange server.

The box under advanced and security was checked to always ask for user name and password.

The only quick way that I found to get around this was to rebuild the computers O.S. and put everything back on again. installing Outlook again did not work and others said they had this problem before and needed to rebuild the O.S.and reinstall Outlook after.

I need to know if this happens again is there something I should have looked at that would of fixed this without having to rebuild the O.S.

Please Advise

Thanks

With Outlook issues there are only three main fixes...

1. New Outlook Profile
2. New Windows Profile
3. Wipe the machine.

Reinstalling Office/Outlook often doesn't work.
