How to connect to SAP BW database for importing data to SQL SERVER and OLAP?
Is there any OLEDB\ODBC provider to read SAP data?
Thanks in advance.

But that is the purpose of BW.
It will automatically create the pivot tables and reports for you.
Why do you have BW at all if you are not reporting from it, that is what it is for. You can create a new report with interchangable key figures etc in about 20 mins.

Perhaps you can get your employer to send you on the BW report writer course ....

Why on would you want to do that ?

In BW the data is held on Cubes and clusters, not in simple tables. You should not be connecting to the database directly.
What is the application ?

Dear jonvaughan,
My experience is with Ms SQL SERVER\OLAP and Excel to create fast and cheap Pivot Tables reports\charts.
I think I'll be able to understand the data structure and transform it for my purpose.
Thanks

You're right. It seems illogical to dig into 10000 tables to do a 20 minutes report.
I'll follow up your advice to my boss that asked me to investigate.
Thanks for your precious time and knowledge!
