Sharing Folder privaledge difficulty

HI
I am having an issue with permissions.  I hops its easy enough to sort.

I have a folder called data which is shared on domain by al users.  I have a folder in that called ger that user ger only wants access to.

I have just got ger as user against folder in security and privaledges.

But all users still can see the folde and access all inside.
The data and security settings have the following as default on them

CREATER OWNER
SYSTEM
USERs(CBMS\USERS)

If I turn off inheritance and turn these off will that help?
im not suer of process so would appreciate a little guidance.

Thanks again
Stephen

?

On that individual folder, unclick inherited rights, copy (if you're uncomfortable removing), remove the groups you don't want, add the user and any applicable administrators.

If you don't mind my asking, why a "C" grade?

Did this not answer your question appropriately?

Hi Adam,
I didnt mean to make it C grade.  It answered my problem exeactly (A).  I had it entered before I click ok.  Was thinking you would be wondering why it was a C, no disrespect meant.
Thanks very much

Cstephen,

Not that big of a deal.  I was just wanting to make sure I hadn't give you an incorrect instruction somewhere along the way.

I'm glad it helped!

A mod will probably fix it up here at some point.

Adam
