I changed nothing, I know the serve did restrat on it own a few times yerday, did a virus scan fond and cured 6 ussues.  today it up and people are able to access programs, but cannot see the network to map drive etc.

I cannot even use remote desktop connect to see the server from another system on t he LAN anymore.  any ideas is much appreciated

Hey Bsjld,
I found a link to your stated error message here.
http://www.howtonetworking.com/casestudy/virus1.htm
And here:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Win2000/Q_20682097.html?qid=20682097
They both reference viruses. You stated that you performed a scan. I would still read the comments in these links. Have you updated your virus definition files and scanned in Safe Mode?
