Dispalying releated products

Hi There,

I am trying to display related products on a differnt php page.For instance,I have a digital camera on my site and I want to display related products via calling from database via title or product ID.I need to write function I guess to call from my dtabase.Since I am not familiar with php (java background) can anyone help me please ?

What type of database?  PHP has built-in functions for working with most of the common ones.  Let me know what database or take a look for the database on this page (http://us3.php.net/manual/en/funcref.php).
