Debugging plug-ins

Hi,

I am developing a plug-in appliation. This plug-in will be triggered by a 3rd-party commercial application. Now the problem is how to debug this plug-in application.

I am using VC++ on VS .Net 2003.

There are basically two ways to do that: In your project settings under 'Debug|Command' and specify '3rdparty.exe' and the arguments, e.g. '3rdparty.exe -otherparams'. That way, VS will launch '3rdparty.exe' and allow you to debug it. Alternatively, put a

__asm { int 3};

or

DebugBreak();

in your plugin code and when you are asked if you want to launch the Debugger, just confirm.
