Schema Role Transfer Problem

I have 2 DC's, Win2k3 and Win2k. I unfortunatley messed up when I was transferring the Schema Master role from the 2k DC --> 2k3 DC

I opened up the Schema mmc from the 2k server and transfered the role from here instead of connecting to the 2k3 server and transferring the role. netdom reports that the 2k server is still the schema master and I can't transfer the role properly anymore.

If I view the operations master from the 2k server, it says the server is offline, if I view the master from the 2k3 server it still says that the 2k server is the operations holder. If I try the transfer from the 2k3 server now, I get a parameter is incorrect.

I know that I have the option to seize the role, but the 2k server needs to stay online until I can uninstall exchange like I had planned on doing today.

How can I resolve this?

Seize the role from the console of the 2003 server.  Since the 2000 server no longer thinks it holds the role then there shouldn't be any conflicts.
