I just restored a db instance onto my local computer from a remote server.
I am using SQL Server 2005 express.
I wanted to know why the database name is showing up in front of every table name.
Also how would I get rid of this so that I can access each table without having to add the database name every time.
Thanks in advance.

That isn't the database name, it's the schema name.

If that is your default schema (a property of the user) then you shouldn't have tp type it in front of the table name.
