I only have win xp pro and when i tried to install that, it says the version of xp on my system is newer than the version on cd.

I do not what to reform my hard drive as i will have to download all the drivers.

I will be searching for win xp pro upgrade, i came across these two

cheaper:-
Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 Upgrade Version Academic License for PC

expensive:-

Microsoft Windows XP Professional Upgrade Version for PC

not sure if they both have IIS. would you know?

thanks

XP pro will have IIS as part of extra tools.  it will not come pre-installed as you will have to explore the CD and look in:

install optional components...

whats the CD you have at the moment?

stick in the CD,let it autorun and display the welcome to windwos xp screen.

can you see if the above option "instal optional components"... is listed?

ok, then your going to have to use the win xp pro cd you have got.

its strange that when you explore the install optional components of the win xp pro cd, you dont see the internet information services (IIS) listed...
