I've selected Tools/Options/Site Manager and I've added http://www.megaupload.com with my login/password but still i'm not able to download the files. What's wrong? I've tryied as well http://*.megaupload.com but I cannot download.

Hi, I am not familiar with this program but had a look at it for your benefit, they do mention they have recently had some serious problem with members breaching the download/uploads and maximising them too much so that they have now reduced the size to limit to 250 megs.
If you were attempting to download during these times could hve been the problem.
Here is a FAQ from them
http://www.megaupload.com/faq/
I cannot download files at all! What is wrong? If you do not have a Megaupload Premium Account, disable any download accelerators, which should help in most cases. Also make sure JavaScript is enabled. Other possibilities: You may be using AOL, which

Hi Merete, first of all, thanks for replying.

I read the FAQ before posting in here. In this FAQ they say...

Q: Which download accelerators can I use?
A: You may use any of the major accelerators, a few popular ones are: Speedget, Download Accelerator Plus, GetRight, FlashGet and GoZilla.

Secondly, I have a PREMIUM ACCOUNT valid until 20 November 2006.

If I login throught megaupload website (I use Firefox), then every link from megaupload that I want to download, goes straight without any kind of time countdown, I see Click here to download. Fine with this. But I don't want to do this for every file I find.. I just want to copy and select them all and paste them on FlashGet and setup Flashget with my login and password for megaupload, and leave Flashget do the work.

So far,  the only thing I managed to succeed is login to megaupload trought my web browser. This is no problem. Then when I visit another page with links on megaupload, I click on the first one, then I am redirected to megaupload and I get the button Click here to download. Instead of pressing left button on my mouse I press right click and then I save the link. Then this link I can paste it on Flashget and start downloding without problems. But if you have a list of several links, do this for every link is slow and not really useful.

Hope this helps others to understand the real problem ... thanks folks.

Thank you yes i see what your saying, I used DAP in the old days and found I could drag and drop the files onto it this would Que them..Have you tried queing the files.
it would seem FlashGet opens multiple connections to each file you're downloading.
Each Jet, or "split", is a separate connection to the file.
Each split is assigned a certain portion of the file you're after.
FlashGet maximizes your throughput because normally a single connection to a file does not use all of your bandwidth.
This is particularly true on really slow, non-responsive servers. FlashGet grabs those much faster than if there were a single
connection open to it.
FlashGet also gives a visual indication of each Jet with a red dot, showing just how much of each section of the file has been downloaded.
With FlashGet, up to 10 Jets can be assigned for each download, and up to 8 files can be downloaded at the same time,
to really make full use of your bandwidth.

in "Options/Connections" << set the amount of connections

You don't need to log in your account...then just copy the the download link(right mouse and copy shortcut from the button download (in IE) or Copy link address (in Firefox or Opera) and Ctlr + V to paste in Flashget to download normally.
