Ricoh SP C411DN pros/cons

I have need of a duplexing, *nix compatible, low cost-per-page, color printer in my office.

After reviewing printers I am thinking the best choice is the Ricoh SP C411DN.  Does anybody have any experience with this brand and model? I would appreciate any pros or cons you might have concerning this printer choice.  Linux/BSD users experiences would be especially helpful.

Thanks,

ibanja,

I have experience with Ricoh machines but not with that model.  I have liked their equipment.  Recently we have used KonicaMinolta Color Laser printers and been very pleased with those too.  The model magicolor 5440 DL seems to be comparable to the Ricoh model you mentioned.  I just offer it as an alternative to look at.

Unfortunately I don't have any help for Linux users on this matter.

Let me know if you have any questions or need more information.

Thanks b0lsc0tt,

I believe the Ricoh will meet my needs best.  Thanks for the magicolor 5440 DL suggestion.  I looked into it but from what I gather the Ricoh is a little bit more Linux friendly and has a few other points that are favorable for my particular situation.

Appreciate the input.

No problem.  I'm glad that I could help.  I'm a Ricoh fan too so I wouldn't try to change your mind.  Thanks for the fun question.  I wish I could have helped you with the other parts.
