First .Net App

I am trying to do my first .Net app.  I am using Delphi Developing Studio 2006.  I am trying to use a third party product called dtSearch.  They have an .Net api.  I am trying to add a reference to the api.  I went to the menu Project|Add Reference.  I looked at that list under the .Net Assemblies Tab but the dtSearch assembly is not listed.  I clicked on the browse button and found the file indicated in by dtsearch and clicked on it.  It appears in the New Reference section.  I click the Ok button but the reference is not added to my app.  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

One thing to check in 2006 is that some components only appear if they are a .Net VCL component. Othes will only appear if they are for Win Frms.

Create a new VCL Windows app and see if it appears. If not, create a new Win Form application and check again.

I have had the same issue and finally realized that the type of library affects if it is shown in the component pallette.
