I am trying to edit my web.xml file and when I try to save it, it gives be following msg:

"Some files are read-only"

I can't save it. I tried unchecking the read-only feature from the properties of web.xml file.

Thanks

oops, correction... that will remoVe the read only attribute from the file. btw, it will be easiest if you can navigate to the folder where the file is.

To open a command prompt, go to Start > Run and type "cmd.exe" in the text box (without the quotes)
you will be in the C:\Documents and Settings\(current user name)\   folder by default
to back up one level ( towards the C:\ drive) type "cd.." without the quotes and hit enter
to go deeper (maybe C:\Documents and Settings\(current user name)\My Documents\   type "cd My Documents" (without the quotes)

Hope that helps
