how to configure norton firewall
Hi,
the problem i have is that i cannot access internet explorer or any desktop items,(poker sites etc)
have spoken to microsoft they have checked that windows(xp profesional) is ok.
Im with NTL and they have checked that everything is fine, (both have gone through safe mode)
they seem to be saying its my firewall configuration, only the can't help with this,
so how do i alter my firewall - security settings,
I have Norton 06 on my computer, and use Spyware Detective and Regestry Mechanic about once a night,
any ideas or solutions are welcome and appreciated,
john.

is it just norton antivirus or is it norton internet security as well-- if just nav then you can configure the worm protecdtion rule to allow for the scope of ips on your network

i can now access sites if i turn off norton ,and run microsoft firewall, but not sure if this is ok.
seemed to work before,

click on the general rules button--> then add-->permit-->next-->only the sites listed below-->here you can add using a range or individually.-->permit all tcp/udp-->then move the rule to the top of the list--
thanks for the points -- glad you got it resolved.
