Service Control Manager Event 7001 Service Cannot Be Started

Hi Experts,

A coworker told me that he has been getting several "do you want to send to Microsoft errors". I looked in event viewer and this message is displayed: The Intel(R)ProSet/Wireless Service service depends on the WLAN Transport service which failed to start because of the following error:The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

Do you know what I can do to fix this?

Thanks,

Susan

If a service that is set to start Manual may at any time receive a signal to start from the computer management console. If you set it to disabled, the event log errors should stop and messae should not appear again.

Hi Punky,

Just to let you know I havn't been able to try this out yet. The next day the manager left for LA and hasn't returned yet. I'll work on this again when he gets back in the office.
