Hi!,
I have a website and I have been experiencing a lot of attacks lately, I just wanted to know if there's a method to limit the maximum connections from any ip in order to avoid having those attacks. I have SSH access to my website and I can see a lot of open connections(up to 500) from certain ips, I want to limit the access by limiting the number of max concurrent connections. How can I do this?

Thank you!

Firewall based sollution http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/187
It's for ssh, then You would have to tune it heavily.
But the best sollution is to put squid-proxy in acceleration mode in front of such apache server.
