Make sure your WiFi card is ACPI compliant.  ACPI power features may have to be enabled for the card in Device Manager.

Update WiFi drivers too.  There may have been a windows patch that broke the drivers.

Get free NFR key for Veeam Availability Suite 9.5

Veeam is happy to provide a free NFR license (1 year, 2 sockets) to all certified IT Pros. The license allows for the non-production use of Veeam Availability Suite v9.5 in your home lab, without any feature limitations. It works for both VMware and Hyper-V environments

Will it reconnect after waking up from sleep if you disable and re-enable the card?

Most laptops have a hotkey sequence (usually Function (Fn) + one of the F keys.) to disable/enable the radio
