I want to port firefox webrowser (Gecko) to an embedded MIPS-based platform running Linux. Any ideas on how to do this? Does anyone have any experience wtih this? Also, any help on stripping down/ customizing features would be very welcome.

thanks!

Dear oleggold,

Thanks for your post. I will definitely look into this. While I was waiting for a response, I had already started porting over the stuff required by firefox (the diff libs), so this should save me time.

One question though: the build you pointed me to is for debian linux. I'm use CE-linux 2.0. Any ideas if the builds will be compatible? if not, any pointers on what areas I might need to look-in to change / modify to have this happen would be awesome.

thanks!
