Unable to open script file ...   (even after i deleted it and the cache)

I had tried to install a PayPal extension, it installed okay, but thereafter any time i did any operation (even switching between design and code view), javascript syntax etc errors popped up.
So in the extension manager, i deleted the PayPal extension, and then deleted the cache file in Documents and settings, as well as several other places where i found reference to PayPal that had been associated with the extension (evidently removing the extension didn't do a thorough job!).

I'm still plagued by this remaining error message, and i've restarted DW, etc.
Error message:
The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
  The following JavaScript errors occurredL:
Unable to open script file "C: Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Shared\PayPal\PayPalShared.js" (error3)

Any advice?

Hi wilshirewood,

Wow...

I would cut my losses here.  Export your site definitions, then remove and reinstall DW.  Then send a very nasty note to PayPal about this.

Thanks for your encouragement.
I searched one final time before the drastic complete delete & reinstall, and found a tip to delete the documents&Settings entire Dreamweaver 8 subdirectory.
and that did the trick, altho i did have to re set my window arrangement preferences, a minor price to pay.

Good to hear.  I'll make a note of deleting the D&S subdirectory.
