Hi there,

Have received in the above laptop and installed XP pro on it to suit our business, unfortunatly unwise old me deleted the partition that holds the recovery software in installing XP, ive got XP pro on there fine i just cant seem to get any of the drivers for the laptop, have been on sonys support site and downloaded their driver/utility pack at 42mb !

the utility pack only included the sony power management and other sony tools but no ethernet or vga / wireless drivers, have called sony and they say that they cant send out the xp media centre drivers and ive deleted what drivers that were on the system when i removed the partition,

Does anyone know where i can get these drivers - perhaps of another of the many other VGN laptops we have within the business in teh system32 dir?

HELP !

regards,
George

Just install Everest Home Edition (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html) and run it => that should identify the details of the hardware and make it relatively easy to find the right drivers.

What "yellows" do you have in Device Manager??  (i.e. unknown devices that you need drivers for)
