How do I join 2 Exchange Server 2000 org's to share email address list

Hi Experts,

I have a really urgent one!!! How do I join/ link together 2 Exchange Server 2000 org's (Each within own forest) so that users in Domain/ forest A can search for users in domain/ forest B to email them - i.e. the global address list in outlook.

I have external trusts between the domains and can resource share but do not know how to deal with the address list. This is a Native 2000 environment and DNS is setup and functional.

All that is required is for the email addresses to be 'replicated' between organisations.

THANK YOU.

You cannot join the two sites without third party tools.
Microsoft has one, called Identity Integration Server, and they have a free version available.

However I believe that it is only for Windows 2003/Exchange 2003. It doesn't work with the older version.

With Exchange 2000 you are probably looking to do a manual process - creating mail enabled contacts in the other site.
