Experts,

I am starting a new project using ruby on rails.  My background is c++, c#, php, asp, etc.  Can somebody give me a good "how to start development" on RR?

Where is the program entry/exit point ? compile code? how to call RR pages? etc. Sample code, tuturials, etc.

many thanks,

That's incredible that that's the only response you got.  Guess a 100 point question just ain't what is used to be.

Third is essentially right in suggestion that you look at Web tutorials, which you know, so I'll tell you that I have about the same background as you, and once spent a few hours looking for tutorials, and I think this was one of the greatest  things I found:

http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/rails

One other thing I'd suggest if it hasn't already occurred to you is starting a site on http://del.icio.us to plot your travels, as all of the sites have some kind info on ROR, but as far as I can tell, no site has all the info.  Maybe that's a business idea for some young smart guy, but I don't have the time.

I'll also suggest that you actually DON'T get a book on it, and that's usually my number piece of advice.  Most of the books out there are really just simply out of date -- by which I mean by about only 8 months!
