Thawte trial cert, how to install

I am now looking at a thawte cert which I have got a 21 day trial of, I have copied and pasted the server cert from their site after running the wizard etc, there is also an intermediate ca certificate that needs to be installed as well,

Can anyone tell me how the intermediate gets installed or where i need to save it to and also what is it for !
