I archive a PST, and after it completes, attachements are missing from the archive.pst it makes. How do I prevent the attachemnt from being lost?

Outlook 2003 / Win XP Pro - non-exchange server.

Greetings, DrDamnit !

Is the attachment missing from archive file or from the normal pst file?

How large is the attachment? If the attachment is too large, it may be corrupt when archived.

Is the archived file in the same hard disk or on a network server?  If the latter, data can be lost writing across a server.  Instead save the archive.pst in local drive and back it up to network.

Archive.pst file could be corrupt.  Run ScanPST to repair the file:
