OWA opening up excel spreadsheets in excel

When I am in OWA and receive an email with an excel spreadsheet attached,  when I double click on the attachment, it opens up in a new IE window.   I would really like it to open up in Excel instead.  I realize I could save the document and then open it up,  but I would rather be able to skip this step and open excel directly.  Any suggestions on how to accomplish this task?
