Hi,
I want to draw a 3d bar just by using  Graphics2D  g2d.fillRect  method. I can draw regular bars for bar graphs already. What's a good approach to do so or is there another way? Any hint would help. thanks

fillRect wont help much as it only fills an area with a single color, for 3D ones you need to draw some sort of lines and rectangles too
Use print screen to take a screen shot of a good looking 3D bar that you want, paste it in paint and zoom the image, now you can see the details of the bar accurately
