I have a 3com Total Control modem bank that is about 7 year old.  And, I'm new to this job!!!  Dialup Internet users authenticate to a Redhat Radius server (I know Cisco, not Linux).  It's worked without problems for years until last night. Users are getting dropped after about 20 seconds for no reason.  The radius server seems to be doing it's job.  It's reporting a duplicate authentication error, which may be because the users connection is dropping before auth is complete.  Phone company says the T-1 plugged into the the dialup modem device is good.  I can't get the full specs now, but will provide once back at the datacenter.  I'm lost on this one....please help!!

Duplicate authentication might also mean that that radius servers answers are not reaching the 3Com modem bank.

If nothing changed to the 3Com and the Radius server, then look if there were network changes in between
those systems.

Like PFM, everything began working again around 11 at night.  The phone company swears that the circuit looked good, and they did nothing.  Very strange.  No other changes were made to the network or equipment involved.

Thanks for the info.
